My name is Julian Stromer, and I'm a freshman at Brooklyn Technical High School. I enjoy playing volleyball, training in Muay Thai, and drawing.
The discipline of engineering that interests me the most is mechatronics. An important advancement in this field is the 3D printer. This device builds objects layer by layer from digital designs using materials like plastic, metal, or resin. It combines precise mechanical movement, electronic control, and computer programming — all key parts of mechatronics. 3D printing has transformed industries such as manufacturing, medicine, and engineering by allowing fast prototyping, custom parts production, and even the creation of complex shapes that traditional machines can’t make.
